Alyssa and Yasemin's cake decorating party
Alyssa and Yasemin are two best friends who both turned 11 on the same day. I got to go hold a cake decorating party for them and had a blast. We made totally girly cakes and they all got to help. I premade fondant purses, shoes, makeup, bows, nail polish and royal icing tiaras. They both chose vanilla cakes which I brought iced and then the girls helped to put all the finishing touches on their cakes along with decorating their own mini cakes and cupcakes.
Thomas
Our middle child turned 5 this weekend and he has loved Thomas the train for a long time. I wanted to surprise him with this cake but he made me tell him about it. Then while I was decorating he kept coming to me to see the progress and make sure that I got all of Thomas' details correct! He chose confetti cake with strawberry frosting. We used royal icing for the clouds and fondant for all the other decorations.

Ninjago
Ninjago was something totally new for me but now I am seeing them everywhere! We did a Lego Ninjago cake for Jack's 6th birthday. Cake flavors were white cake with vanilla frosting and marble cake with chocolate frosting. We covered the sheet cake with yellow fondant and used red fondant to make a character. We also scattered fondant legos all around the cake.
Marina's Star Birthday
Marina celebrated her 12th birthday with a star themed cake. We made our first dairy-free cake in confetti flavor with chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream and then decorated with 12 pink fondant shooting stars and a pink glitter ribbon. Yo Gabba Gabba

Star Wars the Clone Wars
Bryan's birthday was Star Wars themed so we made a Storm Trooper's helmet with chocolate and yellow cake with buttercream.
Hello Kitty
We enjoyed going back to old fashioned buttercream for this Hello Kitty cake. There is a mix of vanilla and chocolate cake and then of course it is covered in buttercream frosting. We used mostly our star tip to make her look pretty for a couple of little girl's birthdays.
Disney
I let my new intern Megan take the reigns on this Disney themed cake for our son's birthday. We used a new flavor for the bottom tier and loved the results. Orange-pineapple is one of my new favorites!! Happy 7th birthday Michaiah!
A Royal Cake
Doing this cake for my daughter was one of the most fun ones yet. A castle cake is perfect for any little princess. She even got a magic wand (which she ate!!) and a tiara. We covered a Snickers flavored cake and an orange flavored cake in pink fodant with a brick pattern. We made columns, flowers, and a sparkly purple door to adorn the castle. Professional pictures of this cake are coming soon!
Here Comes the Birthday Girl
A present cake is the perfect way to celebrate a birthday!! We did a vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream and decorated it with purple and pink fondant and a pretty pink bow.
Noah's Cake
Shark week continued with our son Noah's 4th birthday celebration. This is my version of a nice, commical shark (don't want to scare the kiddos with blood and all). And yes, that is a gold tooth!
