This is a new flavor for us. We swirled fresh rasberry puree into our yellow cake and then topped in with fresh berries. chocolate shavings, and chocolate wafer cookies.

Turtles was the theme for this baby shower so we made a turtle cake from marble pound cake and then made vanilla cupcakes with colored vanilla buttercream topped with fondant turtles.
Gluten Free Garden
We made Megan a gluten free cake for her 17th birthday. Vanilla cake is topped with pink vanilla buttercream. Pink and purple fondant flowers and green leaves give this cake a simple but pretty look.
Dark Magic
This is our Modern Warfare 3 cake for Esai. We covered a vanilla cake in camo fondant and added the MW3 logo, a dog tag, bullets, a helmet, grenades, and off course a machine gun. We were not familiar with the name of the gun but the die-hard MW3 lovers knew it right away.

Does this cake look familiar? Well it does to us. This bass groom's cake is perfect to suprise the fisherman in your life. We used red velvet cake to form this giant fish, and spread vanilla buttercream over it before covering it in fondant.

Here is our Quince cake for Emmely. She choose yellow and chocolate cakes with vanilla frosting. We covered them with her favorite colors and added zebra print, a banner, and 15 to celebrate this special occasion.
A Special Anniversary
Matt and Tiffany got married a year ago (see "The Tiffany"). For their anniversary Matt called and ordered a replica of their top tier.....so sweet!!

Andrea ordered this cake for her husbands birthday. It is carrot cake with vanilla icing. We used the same design as a shirt she ordered for him.
Let the Good Times Roll
Bonnie wanted a cake for her husband's 60th birthday that represented him as well as the 50's themed party they were having. We made her a topsy turvey cake and dedicated the bottom tier to him and the top to the party theme. Flavors were simple and included vanilla pound cake with chocolate buttercream and lemon pound cake with lemon buttercream. We used a new royal icing technique to frame a gorgeous picture from their wedding that is the centerpiece for the bottom layer.
Basketweave
Here is the newest thing I've learned and I love what we can do with this. We used the basketweave technique to make a basket full of fun flowers and leaves. This technique will look great on Easter cakes along with lots of other things.

Pink Flamingoes
Michelle ordered a cake for her mom who loves flamingoes. We layered vanilla cake with rasberry jam and covered it it fondant. We piped palm trees and grass and put two huge fondant hibiscus on top.
Stephanie's Graduation
Stephanie graduated high school last week and is ready to move on to a new chapter in her life soon. She loves to read and write so we put her graduation cap on top of one of her favorite books.
The Phantom of the Opera
Making a cake like this makes you sing the same song over and over again for days! "The Phantom of the Opera is there inside my mind...". We covered a chocolate cake in vanilla buttercream and added just a few simple decorations to remind you of the Phantom playbill. The mask is made from gum paste and fondant and IS edible!
Black, White, and Blue
An elegant cake for a brunch time baby shower. We used our Snicker's flavored cake (peanut butter cake with chocolate fudge and caramel swirls, peanut butter buttercream and snickers candy pieces) as the top tier and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream as the bottom tier. We covered both in fondant and used black ribbon on the bottom. Tons of handmade gumpaste flowers were added to the top.
Avrie's Diaper Bag
Avrie's daddy is away in the military so we made a camo diaper bag for her and her mom at their baby shower. We took six layers of yellow cake and covered them with vanilla buttercream and pink, green, and brown camo fondant. We added many different things that you would see in a diaper bag, but they were all edible! A dog tag with the "Luckey" name on it is on top of the bag to represent her daddy. Matching cupcakes were placed along side the cake.
Swing for the Fences
The theme this year for the youth conference at West Gate Baptist Church was "Swing for the Fences." We made a baseball field and baseball with yellow cake and buttercream fillings.
It's A.......SURPRISE!
The inside of this cake was colored blue so that when you cut it open, you found out the surprise. She's having a boy!! We used yellow flavored cake filled with strawberry jam and covered it with vanilla buttercream and white fondant. We decorated in gender neutral baby decorations so that you could not find out until the first piece was cut.
A Sweet Occasion
We got to celebrate the upcoming arrival of my nephew Colin at Sara's baby shower this weekend. The theme for the shower was "Sweets" or candy in blue and brown shades so we made her a matching topsy turvy cake with gumpaste lollipops, gumdrops, and wrapped candy. Zebra print was used on the bottom tier to match her invites and the theme for her nursery. We used vanilla pound cake with chocolate buttercream for the bottom tier and lemon pound cake with lemon buttercream for the top. The shower was amazing and we can't wait to meet baby Colin.
Hapee Burthdae Truett!
Truett Cathy, the founder of Chick-fil-A, celebrated his 90th "burthdae" this week. We made a cake for the Chick-fil-A in St. Pete as they threw a party to honor him. This cow themed cake was our snickerdoodle flavor with cinnamon buttercream. We covered it in white fondant and added cow spots along with the Chick-fil-A cow and logo. The original chicken sandwich was placed on it's wrapper and Michael made their famous waffle fries. Truett loves Coca Cola so we added a coke cup along with the WinShape logo, his foundation, and his favorite Bible verse.
Craig's Drum
We surprised our brother-in-law with drum cake for his birthday. It traveled many mile to Missouri on a plane and made it in one piece.
Golden Scrolls
We put this together for an anniversary party. It was a three layer marble cake with chocolate buttercream. We piped scrolls and painted them with edible gold paint.
Felicia's Baby Shower
Another new baby is on her way! Felicia had a beautiful shower and we were so glad to be a part of it. Her two tier cake included red velvet with vanilla buttercream and yellow cake with chocolate buttercream along with vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. We made tons of gumpaste flowers for the top. Happy Valentine's Day!
I had some extra pound cake batter so I decided to make a sweet treat for the fam and friends. I layered the pound cake with fresh strawberries and home-made whipped cream and then drizzled chocolate on top. Chocolate covered strawberries line the sides of the cake. YUM!!!

Dianne's baby better like sports!! Her chocolate cake with rasberry filling, was covered in light blue fondant and decorated with sugarpaste jerseys with A.J.'s name and due date as the numbers. The cupcakes were topped with buttercream and a chocolate ball, basball glove, or baseball cap.
J.J.'s Laker's Cake
Surprise!!!! Here's a great cake for a Laker's fan. We did red velvet for the ball and chocolate for the jersey. J.J. did not want the cake cut up to serve. As a cake decorator, that is the best compliment you can get!!
Baby Feet are Just too Sweet
Everybody loves tiny little baby feet! We made a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream to welcome Christian to the world. The baby shoes are made from sugarpaste and are completely edible.

We covered our Snickerdoodle cake with cinnamon buttercream and blue marble fondant. We added waves and fondant decorations and a rice krispies treat ship. .
Gone Fishing
Jeff's wife really surprised him with a party and this cake celebrating his love of fishing. We did a butter pecan pound cake and decorated it with fondant. We hand-painted the "wood" and the fish and added a few gumpaste decorations.
Merry Christmas!
Who wouldn't love to get the gift of cake??? I made this spice cake with cinnamon buttercream to take to my family's house for Christmas Eve. We used a diamond pattern and pearl accents with a gold bow. Very festive.
Nursing Program Graduation
This cake explains itself pretty well, but I will give you a few details anyway. Laurie graduated from nursing school this weekend so her mom surprised her with this chocolate cake. We made all kinds of decorations from gumpaste and used royal icing to make the heartbeat. We personalized her scrub and used her favorite color, purple, to mimic her stethescope.
Death By Chocolate Mint
Happy Birthday to my brother-in-law!!! After a busy weekend it was nice to be able to whip us this simple cake. It starts with a chocolate cake that is covered in mint chocolate buttercream. We add chocolate ganache to the top and let it drip down the sides. Andes mints add to the mint flavor and green chocolate decorations and sprinkles finish it off. Can't wait to dive into this one tomorrow.
Elvis Has Left the Building
Surprise!!! This cake was made for the biggest Elvis fan I have ever met. The bottom tier is strawberry cake and is covered in Elvis silohuettes and different figures to represent some of his songs. We used records as a border for the second tier, which is chocolate cake and buttercream. A gumpaste Elvis sits on top. Gail was thrilled with the cake and almost did not let anyone eat it.
Nihao Kaylee (Kai-Lan)
We made Kaylee a chocolate cake with chocolate chips and white buttercream. Fondant was used to cut out the characters and flowers and buttercream was piped on for the other decorations. The birthday girl was very happy.
Dr. Seuss
WOW!!! This was a crazy cake to make. It was fun, scary, and very detailed. We started with 2 tiers of chocolate pound cake with chocolate butttercream and one tier of orange pound cake with orange buttercream (one of my personal favorites). It took hours to add all the details to each layer. Each character and tree were hand painted with food coloring gels. Our sugarpaste figurines add the finishing touches and are completely edible.

Forget the pies, let's have some cake!! Here are the other two cakes we made for the Holiday. One is a pumpkin cake with raisins and vanilla buttercream. The other is a vanilla cake with our new chocolate mint icing. Both cakes have gumpaste and fondant turkeys, pilgrim hats, cornucopias with fruit and veggies, sunflowers, and a hay border.
Gobble, Gobble
Here is the first of my Thanksgiving cakes for this year. This is not very traditional I realize, but it was made for the clinical research department of a local company. Spice cake was requested and I added cinnamon to my buttercream icing for the perfect Thanksgiving flavor.
The decorations were very fun to make. The turkey is made from rice krispies treats and then covered in fondant. Michael made the syringe, which looks pretty real to me! We added some band-aids, pumpkins, a pill bottle and a hay border.

Love is Forever
This cake is a red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. We made fondant roses with coordinating yellow and white flowers to make an arrangement on top of the cake. A red ribbon wraps around the bottom as a border and white hearts decorate the sides. This cake is perfect for any occasion but would be a great choice for your sweetie when Valentine's Day rolls around in a couple of months. By the way, the cream cheese icing was delicious but we do not recommend using it for a cake covered in fondant.
The Music Lover
This is the perfect cake for the piano or music lover. We covered a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and then made a fondant keyboard to cover the sides. A pink bow adds a nice final touch to the top and the birthday girl was thrilled with her surprise cake,
Happy Halloween
Most of America will celebrate Halloween this week. This cake gets everybody in the mood for the costumes and candy that go along with the holiday. We made this cake for my sister and those that work with her. Hope they liked the new orange flavor and our traditional buttercream. Everything on this cake is completely edible and handcrafted from fondant and gumpaste. Click on the first picture to see a slideshow of the pictures.
The Suzie Q
This cake features our brand new icing!!!! We have come up with our own version of everybody's favortie whipped icing (check out our blog page for more details) on a marble cake. Suzie Q is a friend from high school whose mom wanted to remind her of just how old she was getting. She also ordered 27 rum cupcakes with whipped cream topping to celebrate the big day.
Memories
This cake is a yellow cake with lemon buttercream. The cake is decorated with handcrafted carnations and a ball border. It was made for a fundraiser to help a family who recently lost their dad and a son in an accident. Please contact me if you would like to help this family.

Calla Lilies for Lilly
Lilly was born a couple of weeks ago and I could not resist making a Calla Lily cake for her parents. Simple, but elegant and a perfect way to celebrate her coming home from the hospital. The flavors were simple, strawberry cake with white buttercream and decorated with fondant flowers and leaves.
Chief Petty Officer Cake
Chief Tony Grant's cake was to celebrate his promotion in the Navy and was a surprise from his wife. She requested a mango flavored cake, which we did for the bottom tier. The middle tier was lemon cake with lemon buttercream in the middle, and the top tier was french vanilla cake with strawberry jam in the middle. We decorated with a Navy battleship on top, a chief's anchor on the front, other boat themed items on the sides, and a rope border for each tier.
Dad's Coquina Key Rum Cake
Coquina Key (in the St. Pete area of Florida) was the inspiration for this cake. It is a rum cake with a glaze and chopped walnuts covering the top and bottom of the cake. Coconut covers the whipped icing and a few fondant decorations, including flowers, a heron with a fish in it's mouth, and flip-flops adorn the top and sides of the cake. My dad and step-mom, Linda, enjoyed it and are ready for another one soon.
